Dead rodent, filthy floors among Miami Dunkin’ inspection problems
Holes beyond donut holes and greasy floors pushed a state inspector to fail a Miami Dunkin’ restaurant on inspection last week.
The dead rodent didn’t help, either.
Not that Thursday’s routine inspection at 1190 NW 62nd St. by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation inspector turned up much — six total violations, five of which were classified as “basic” and none as “high priority.”
What was there was enough, however, to put stop the flow of glazed, chocolate, breakfast wraps and coffee until the re-inspection was passed on Friday.

About that dead rodent...”a dead rodent was on top of the glue trap under metal shelves by the exit door.”
The floor was “soiled with grease and food debris behind the ice machine and under the front counter.
Perhaps the rodent got in through a hole, such as the one on the wall near the drive-thru window or the one in the ceiling next to the drive-thru window.
In the restroom for customers, the handwash sink was “soiled with paper residue.” The handwash sink across from the ice machine was “soiled with a dark substance.”
The dining area ceiling tiles were “soiled with water marks” and not the kind you put on TikTok videos to keep them from being stolen and used as someone else’s.
This Dunkin’ is a franchise owned by HZ Coffee Group, based in Sugar Land, Texas.
