Get your cinnamon rolls fast: Knaus Berry Farm in Redland announces closing day
You have just a few weeks to get your cinnamon roll fix: Knaus Berry Farm has announced its closing date for the the season.
Usually, the iconic market — which moved from its old location to new one last December — shuts down in mid-April. This year, it will remain open through May 10, which just happens to be Mother’s Day.
Since the market re-opened late in 2025, drawing thousands of customers eager for the shakes and baked goods, the owners decided to keep it open an extra month this spring.
“The response since we opened in December has been incredible, and we’re so grateful for the community’s support,” said general manager and co-owner Joel White.
“The local passion for this brand is amazing,” he told the Miami Herald in December. “Wherever I went, it was always: ‘When are you opening?’ I’m happy not to have to answer the questions about opening anymore. It is so good to say, ‘We’re open now.’ ”
Changes to the new Knaus Berry Farm, which was opened by Ray and Russell Knaus in Homestead in 1956, included the acceptance of credit cards, rest rooms, being open on Sunday and an expanded parking lot (that was not quite enough in the early days of the reopening).
There were even a few new recipes, notably the mango pie. But the cinnamon rolls are the same cinnamon rolls Miami has loved for almost 70 years.
“It’s the same recipe and same ingredients, even the same oven,” White assured the Miami Herald.
