Caracas Bakery, the Venezuelan bakery that started in Doral and then spread to Miami’s MiMo neighborhood and Coral Gables, has a new frontier to conquer.

Founded by Jesús Brazón, the bakery famous for its croissants, sourdough and cachitos will be opening this week at the Harbour Club in Miami Beach’s Sunset Harbour neighborhood.

The Harbour Club, an exclusive members-only social club, is also home to the glamorous Italian-Mediterranean restaurant a’Riva, which opened in 2024 and is open during the evening hours. Caracas Bakery will be open on the first floor during the day for breakfast and lunch, in a comfortable and relaxed setting that’s somewhat less intimidating than its neighboring luxury restaurant.

Harbour Club founder James Julius said the collaboration with Caracas “felt incredibly natural from the start.”

“Caracas Bakery has built something truly special in Miami,” he said. “Bringing that energy into the space during the day allows us to expand our vision of being a place for the neighborhood at every hour, while also enhancing the experience for our Harbour Club members.”

In the mornings, diners can order from the full bakery menu you’ll find at the MiMo location, with breakfast sandwiches and toasts (avocado, salmon, mushroom among them) as well as yogurt bowls and frittatas and breakfast platters.

At lunchtime, the space transforms into what Brazón calls Casa Caracas with a brand new menu that includes grilled piri piri chicken, prawns sauteed in garlic olive oil and lemon, hanger steak or pasta. There are also salads and side dishes as a cocktail menu.

Brazón said the new location is a positive step for the Caracas Bakery brand.

“From day one, Caracas Bakery was never just about bread — it’s about building a place people feel part of,” he said. “Opening here and bringing Casa Caracas into it lets us grow without losing what we are while being part of a neighborhood we’ve always respected.”
