One of the most popular restaurants in Coral Gables is expanding its reach once again — this time to a waterfront restaurant and music venue.

The upscale steakhouse Daniel’s from Gioia Hospitality and the Palm Tree Club in North Bay Village have announced a partnership for a year-long pop-up at the bayside hot spot.

Daniel’s, which was recently named one of the top 10 steakhouses in North America by World’s Best 101 Steak Restaurants and the best steakhouse in Florida by Tasting Table, will offer lunch and dinner service Monday through Friday at Palm Tree Club starting in late January. The collaboration will run through 2026.

Myles Shear, managing partner co-founder of Palm Tree Club, which also has a hotel and marina and is located in the former space of Shucker’s, said Daniel’s was the perfect fit for the venue, which draws a young and affluent crowd, particularly during its lively DJ sets.

“Their approach to food and hospitality aligns perfectly with what we’re building here,” Shear said. “This pop-up lets us elevate the weekday experience with a thoughtful, chef-driven menu.”

The menu will include some of the favorites on the Daniel’s menu, including the brand’s wagyu steaks, burgers, chicken nuggets with caviar and the famous French dip sandwich popular at D’s, Gioia Hospitality’s sports bar next door to Daniel’s in Fort Lauderdale (it’s also available as part of the bar menu at Daniel’s in Coral Gables). Daniel’s will also offer a few only-at-Palm-Tree-Club items like a Maine lobster roll, ceviche and sushi.

Gioia Hospitality, which also includes culinary director Daniel Ganem, director of operations Scott Ozler and beverage director Daniel Bishop, will curate a wine list as well as a menu that will be available to guests during Palm Tree Club’s parties.

Founder Tom Angelo, who operates Gioia Hospitality with his daughter and managing director Kassidy Angelo, said he’s excited about the collaboration.

“Myles and his team are focused on providing world-class hospitality,” Angelo said. “They have a great track record. We think it’s a good marriage.”

The venture isn’t the only new frontier for Gioia Hospitality. The group will be opening the luxurious Italian restaurant La Sponda in Grove Isle in 2026.
