This beloved Miami Beach restaurant is closing while its hotel gets a $100M redo
Another Miami Beach restaurant has announced it’s closing.
Byblos, the Mediterranean restaurant at the Royal Palm South Beach Miami hotel at 1545 Collins Ave., is shutting down operations as the hotel undergoes a $100 million renovation project. According to hotelmanagement.net, the project includes a full renovation of all 393 guest rooms and the addition of 11 new rooms.
Representatives for the restaurant, which is operated by INK Entertainment group and will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, said in a statement that Byblos will be taking the opportunity for some upgrades as well.
“This moment presents a unique opportunity for us to begin our own planned renovation and refresh the restaurant in anticipation of our 10-year anniversary,” it said in a statement. “Byblos has enjoyed remarkable success in Miami, and we remain incredibly grateful for the continued support of our guests, team, and community.
“The temporary pause gives us the chance to reimagine the Byblos experience and come back with a bold, refreshed space that’s more vibrant and elevated than ever. Details regarding our reopening and renovation progress will be shared on our website and social media channels in the coming weeks.”
The stylish 200-seat restaurant, which debuted in Toronto in 2014 and opened in Miami Beach a year later, has reflected an eastern Mediterranean atmosphere and is known best for its mezze and tea service.
INK Entertainment also operates the Mediterranean restaurant Amal and its sister club Level 6 in Coconut Grove and Sofia in the Design District.
