Fogo de Chao is coming to Kendall.

The popular Brazilian steakhouse, famous for serving grilled meats delivered to your table on skewers, will open its third Miami location on Feb. 17. The restaurant, which already has locations in Coral Gables and Miami Beach, will be part of Downtown Dadeland.

The restaurant features a large dining room, with an open churrasco grill as the centerpiece. Diners will get a 360 degree view of the chefs butchering, carving and grilling different cuts of meat, including a bone-in ribeye, lamb chops and the Fogo specialty, picanha, which is the prime part of top sirloin. Other choices are available, too, including chicken, pork and seafood.

The new restaurant will also feature a seasonal Market Table, which is what the brand calls its famous salad bar. Named after the markets of Brazil, the Market Table is way beyond an average salad bar, featuring a rotating offering of specialty salads, seasonal recipes, cheese and charcuterie, smoked salmon and a black bean stew with sausage. Don’t want steak? You can easily fill up on what you find at the Market Table.

The Full Churrasco Experience at Fogo de Chao offers a fixed-price menu that includes premium and classic cuts of meat, plus side dishes and the Market Table.

Fogo de Chao will also have dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging and private dining areas. There’s also a bar, Bar Fogo, where guests can order smaller plates to share and indulge in an all-day happy hour with $10 Brazilian cocktails, $8 for South American wines and $5 beer all day every day (those prices are also good on the patio and in the dining room).

Barry McGowan, the chief executive officer for the brand, which has more than 70 locations throughout Brazil, the United States, Mexico, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, said Fogo is looking forward to feeding a new community and that it plans to collaborate with Feeding South Florida to help with hunger relief.

“At Fogo, we’ve always been focused on feeding our guests and communities and we’ve been fortunate to be part of the South Florida community for the past 18 years,” he said in a statement.

You can find many cuts of meat at Fogo de Chao, which is now opening in Downtown Dadeland.
