After 12 years serving Spanish cuisine and culture on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Bellmónt Spanish Restaurant is closed.

The lively spot, known for its tapas, paella and live flamenco music every week, was located at 339 Miracle Mile next to Season’s 52. It closed on Dec. 31.

Owner Sergio Catalina Bellmónt announced the closing on the restaurant’s Facebook page, thanking customers with what he wrote is “a heart full of gratitude and mixed emotions.”

“After 12 unforgettable years, it’s time to say goodbye to this chapter in Coral Gables and embark on a new adventure,” he wrote.

The new adventure will begin in Madrid, Spain, where Bellmont will continue his culinary projects. In a video, he said that although it was a farewell for now, “we hope our paths cross in the future.”

“Bellmónt has been more than just a restaurant to us; it has been a home and a cultural bridge that brought the soul of Spain to our beloved community,” he wrote. “We are deeply thankful for every moment, every celebration, and every connection we have cherished with all of you.”
