Rodent poop and food that needed to be trashed caused a state inspector to shut down three food establishments inside Sawgrass Mills mall on Friday.

The hat trick of inspection fails across the street from the Florida Panthers arena came two weeks after rodent problems closed eight restaurants in a Palm Beach County mall food court. Sunrise’s trio also involved a Sbarro.

All three Sawgrass Mills restaurants passed re-inspection the next day, which doesn’t necessarily mean the rodents left or got exterminated. It means the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspector didn’t see rodent droppings as evidence of rodent presence.
