This beloved fast-food chicken joint is opening its third location in Miami-Dade
One of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the country is growing again in Miami.
Raising Cane’s, the fast-food chicken spot that specializes in chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries and a cherished special sauce, is opening its third Miami-Dade location in Cutler Bay.
The brand, which has spawned legions of fans who call themselves “Caniacs,” opened its first South Florida restaurant in Homestead in at the end of 2022. The opening of its second location in Miami Beach off Lincoln Road drew huge crowds, and a spokesperson said crowds are expected in Cutler Bay, too.
The first 100 customers in line will receive a free commemorative T-shirt. From 8-9 a.m., drawings will be held for 20 customers to win free Cane’s chicken for a year.
Jon Wantz, restaurant leader for Raising Cane’s, said the brand is excited to introduce its food to the neighborhood.
“What makes the people here so special is that they very supportive of all the businesses in the area, so we can’t wait to see everyone here on opening day and in the days ahead,” he said in a statement.
The brand, which was created in 1996 by an LSU student in Baton Rouge, also plans to open a location on Federal Highway in Pompano Beach this summer and a Doral restaurant at Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 82nd Avenue sometime this fall. Also in the works are locations in Boynton Beach, Royal Palm Beach, Clearwater and Port St. Lucie.
The brand now has more than 750 restaurants in more than 35 states, Guam and the Middle East.
