There’s still time to snag tickets to some of the best events at the 2022 South Beach Wine & Food Festival.

The annual festival, which runs Feb. 24-27, reacted to criticism that it wasn’t diverse enough, and has added more Black chefs and Black-owned restaurants to this year’s schedule, including a majority of judges to one of its biggest events, Burger Bash.

Aside from Saturday and Sunday’s Grand Tasting Village, here are some of the most interesting events with tickets still available at the start of the week, including some that reflect the festival’s shift.

Southern Kitchen Brunch

Emmy and Grammy award winner Trisha Yearwood’s annual brunch is a festival favorite. The buffet-style brunch includes dishes from chefs like Melba Wilson and locals like Akino West of 7th Café and Rosie’s and Derrick Turton of House of Mac. Diners also go home with a goodie bag that includes a signed copy of Yearwood’s newest cookbook, “Trisha’s Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family.”

Local stars include Stubborn Seed’s Jeremy Ford, Cote’s David Shim, James Beard semifinalist Timon Balloo, West Palm Beach’s Lindsay Autry, Aaron Brooks of Edge Steak & Brar and Tyson Cole of Uchi.

Burger Bash

The favorite people’s event, Burger Bash brings together 40 of the best burger makers in America to battle for two awards: chef’s choice and people’s choice. The event is a king-maker for restaurants and a bacchanal of rich burgers.

Tacos & Tequila

What started out as a favorite, small-scale late-night event has grown into a walk-around event. “Chopped” judge Aarón Sánchez hosts the buzzy party scene, which features dozens of different takes on tacos and tequila cocktails.
