There’s a new place to indulge in Mediterranean food at The Lennox Hotel.

Amalia is now open at the luxury boutique hotel in Miami Beach, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and highlighting Mediterranean cuisine with a Latin touch. Also pasta, for which we are always grateful.

The 140-seat restaurant features an open kitchen and indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is in the hands of Argentine-born executive chef Hernan Griccini, who has almost 20 years of restaurant experience, including stints at the Michelin-stared restaurant Nerua Guggenheim Bilbao in Spain and Oviedo Restaurante and Relais & Chateau in Argentina. He’s one of the founding members of Gastronomia Argentina Joven, a group that aims to elevate Argentine cuisine through education.

At Amalia, Griccini says he’ll be focusing on seasonal ingredients to further the Mediterranean dining experience.

“We are working very hard to ensure that Amalia captures the true essence of the Mediterranean, while at the same time creating something truly original,” he said in a release.

The menu includes appetizers like roasted eggplant, fried Brussels sprouts and burrata with heirloom tomatoes. Entrees include steak frites, whole grilled branzino and Chilean Pacific salmon. There are also a variety of pastas to choose from, including porcini ravioli, ricotta and pear fiocchi with truffle oil and fresh sage and Grandma’s Gnocci with Pomodoro sauce.

The wine list includes New and Old World wines, and a cocktail program promises to be expansive, too.
