Miamians missing their favorite local restaurant’s dishes during the pandemic now have the chance to make them at home — while helping their favorite spots.

“Taste of Miami” is a new cookbook that features 50 recipes from Miami’s most popular restaurants, and all the profits will go toward restaurant employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the publishers. The hardcover, available at cookbook.miami or Amazon.com, costs $34.

Cap’n Crunch pancakes from Eating House, Pastrami croquetas from Kush, taco recipes from Coyo Taco are among the highlights. The forward was written by Miami comfort food writer Sef Gonzalez, who writes as The Burger Beast.

“Miami and beyond can now make the same recipe used by the chefs at these restaurants at home, yet support the restaurants with charitable dollars,” Brandon Rodriguez, president of the ad agency Neuelane, which coordinated the effort, wrote in a press release.

The recipes are a cross section of some of Miami’s favorite dishes. There are pastelitos from CAO Bakery, whose founder is the grandson of the Vicky Bakery chain. Monty’s Raw Bar & Grill shared their Key lime pie recipe. And there are contributions from Pubbelly founder Jose Mendín to Smokey Bones Barbecue’s beer ribs.

To round out a fine meal, Miami cocktail wizard Gab Urrutia included cocktail recipes, from a very-Miami old fashioned to, of course, his spin on a mojito.
