Dwyane Wade says he makes the best burger in the world. We get to decide if he’s right
Did you know National Burger Day this year lasts four days in Miami?
This is good news, and we could all use that.
To celebrate this momentous time of year, a few celebs have teamed up to create the ultimate meat patty through Sunday for the so called Burger Showdown.
Dwyane Wade is getting in on the action, making a customized burger with his 800 Degrees chef/partner Anthony Carron.
The NBA great is pretty competitive as we know and believes that his so-called Heat Burger will be the best of the lot.
“I am the Burger Showdown winner,” the basketball star announces in a video promoting the challenge which includes Matthew McConaughey, Melissa McCarthy and even Paris Hilton (we remember how much she loves burgers from that Carl’s Jr ad).
So what’s in the Heat? A six ounce patty made with Kobe beef, and topped with pepperjack cheese, butter lettuce, Cholula hot sauce, a runny egg and homemade bacon jam (um, yum).
Carron’s creation was tailored to Wade’s specifications — with definitely one ingredient tossed.
“Never, ever put raw onions on my burger,” said the Miami Heat legend.
Got it, champ.
To vote for your fave, go to theburgershowdown.com and order there as well. The burger with the most likes and orders will be deemed the winner, and a donation will be made to Frontline Foods, a grassroots organization that supports local restaurants while feeding first responders and communities affected by coronavirus.
