Chef Erhan Kostepen, co-founder and former executive chef of Mandolin Aegean Bistro, along with his partner, Jerry Bock, previously general manager at Cecconi’s, have joined forces to present Doya, a modern Aegean meze bar. The new spot is opening in Wynwood and will feature the flavorful cuisine of Greece and Turkey.

Expect “vibrant Aegean cuisine” as well as wine, cocktails and “lively music.”

The menu will offer meze (appetizers) served to share, as well as main dishes “comprised of honest food, made with quality ingredients such as succulent meats, aromatic produce and fragrant herbs.”

The menu will be prepared in an open kitchen “that mirrors the interactive dining experience found in the Aegean region,” whereby guests can chitchat and connect with chefs as they toil over the wood-fired ovens and charcoal grills.

As for when that will happen? Soonish. They’re planning for a springtime opening.
