The blue pagoda is gone, but the restaurant is back.

After demolishing its original building, which was built in 1973, Benihana is reopening Jan. 30 on the 79th Street Causeway in a brand new contemporary space.

Ready just in time for the busy Super Bowl weekend, the new restaurant is almost 10,000 square feet, with 20 teppanyaki tables and a sushi lounge.

There’s also an indoor-outoor cocktail bar and patio with views of Biscayne Bay.

The best part? The restaurant, which seats 267 customers, promises a waterfront view for every patron.

“Maximizing the stunning views was one of our goals for our all-new Benihana,” said Benihana Chief Executive Officer and President Tom Baldwin in a statement. “We also wanted to update our design to couple the unique, modern character of Miami and the traditional atmosphere guests have come to know and love from our Benihana brand.”

There’s also a happy hour with specials from 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
