Some changes are underway at South Beach’s biggest food hall with one of Miami’s biggest names revamping his offerings.

Norman Van Aken has teamed up with the owners of the popular raw bar Salt & Brine at the Time Out Market in South Beach on a pair of new food stalls.

Peace Pie and My Caribbean Kitchen by Norman Van Aken will replace the James Beard award-winning chef’s spots in the food hall.

“When you see people having success with what they’re doing, you want to join forces with them,” Van Aken said in a phone interview.

Van Aken and his wife, Janet, have teamed with another couple, Salt & Brine’s Christian and Domenica Plotczyk, in the revamp.

Van Aken, who has made his name on fusing the flavors of Latin America, Miami and the Caribbean, will offer new dishes at My Caribbean Kitchen that reflect his palate and the Plotczyk focus on fresh seafood. Shrimp ceviches, Bahamian conch fritters, Down Island fish sandwiches and a jerk-beef salad are among the new menu items.

Peace Pie essentially remakes the former Beach Pie, focusing on local produce. Among the new pies on the menu are the Cayo Hueso with Key West pink shrimp, Con Carne with spicy pepperoni, Maggie May with fresh local mozzarella, and a white pizza with a mix of local ricotta, mozzarella, prosciutto and local honey.
