It’s about to get easier to satisfy your late-night cookie cravings.
Night Owl Cookies, which made a name for itself in western Miami-Dade County by delivering fresh-baked cookies as late as 2 a.m., is opening a new location in Wynwood. And it is celebrating by giving out free cookies on Oct. 8.

The new spot, at 150 NW 25th St., will be a massive cookie factory — 3,000 square feet. Founder Andrew Gonzalez said he hopes tourists and locals living in the eastern part of the county will discover his cookies. The space will include a 1,200-square-foot outdoor patio. Gonzalez said he expects it will open by summer 2019.
“Wynwood screams Night Owl,” Gonzalez said. “We want people to go, hang out, take their Instagram pictures, sit back and relax.”
The central location means Night Owl will be able to delivery cookies to South Beach, as well Brickell, downtown and Edgewater neighborhoods.
“All of those areas we couldn’t hit before, we’re finally going to be able to hit,” he said. “We’ll have all of Miami covered.”

Night Owl became a hit with locals when it opened its first permanent location near Florida International University in 2016. Before Uber Eats or Postmates came to Miami, Night Owl would deliver its fresh-baked cookies, steaming in the box to everyone from college students with the munchies to families with a late-night craving.
Since then, it moved into a bright, pink new spot along Southwest Eighth Street, from which it sells up to 7,000 cookies a night and stays open until 3 a.m. on weekends.
Forbes magazine named Gonzalez one of its 30 Under 30 in its issue honoring leaders and entrepreneurs in the category of food and drink.
At the annual Forbes summit of past honorees Tuesday, Gonzalez defended his title as Top Young Chef in the Nation with his Plantain Papi, a sweet plantain-infused Nutella cookie, topped with a slice of a platanito maduro.
Night Owl will honor Gonzalez’s win and the Wynwood announcement by giving out free Plantain Papi cookies at his store on Oct. 8. Diners simply have to show Night Owl’s Instagram post about the cookie’s win to get one.
