Dolphins fans aren’t the only ones getting better grub.
Three Miami favorites are opening concession stands inside the American Airlines Arena for the Miami Heat’s upcoming season. The Miami-born restaurant franchises Pincho Factory, Pubbelly Sushi and Sergio’s Cuban will have several outposts at the arena when the Heat’s season opens Oct. 26.
Pincho Factory, the fast-growing chain started in Westchester, will offer it’s regular restaurant menu, including it’s Pincho Burger, salads with their signature kebabs, finger-licking sweet potato tater tots, even it’s so-Miami Toston Burger, which is their regular hamburger served between a pair of fried green plantain tostones instead of buns.
Pubbelly’s every-growing brand (which is now available everywhere from Miami-based cruise ships to a downloadable cookbook) brings its Pubbelly Sushi to the upscale Dewar’s VIP Lounge. It’s a full menu with nearly a dozen offerings, including their signature yellowtail roll with truffled yuzu and a special roll, The Heat, which includes albacore and spicy tuna, crunch tempura flakes and garlic ponzu sauce.
Sergio’s fast-casual Cuban food will serve its staples, though they have not revealed the particulars. But expect all the favorites: croquetas, empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, and, of course, cafecito for those late-night starts.
Fans are demanding better food at games. The Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium recently announced a host of new dining options, including Ray Allen’s Grown, an organic fast food restaurant based in Miami that received a Miami Herald 3-star (Very Good) review, and Shula Burger.
