Who makes Miami's prettiest latte?

Fire up your Instagram for lattes that are just too pretty to drink.

Pro baristas are going head-to-head and inviting home coffee commandos to show their skill at designing the prettiest lattes at the Latte Art Competition at Threefold Cafe in Coral Gables, Saturday at 4 p.m.

The $10 entry fee goes toward Touching Miami With Love, a organization that supports community programs in Overtown. And the winning latte designer wins $500.

“There’s some pride on the line as well as money,” Threefold’s head barista Matt Robertson said.

Baristas from Panther Coffee, Threefold, All Day cafe and Vice City Bean, among others, will participate.

What makes for a winning design? The same thing that makes someone wince before stirring sugar into an intricate floral design of frothy milk on a 

“It’s all about the design: clarity, cleanness, innovation,” Robertson said.
