American Social Brickell
The vibe
With a waterfront patio area that just begs guests to sit back and swig some sangria, American Social makes you feel like you’re on vacation the second you plop down into one if its patriotic wicker couches. The crowd is as diverse as the restaurant’s cocktail menu, ranging from trendy young twenty-somethings to fashionable fifty-somethings all looking to let loose and lay back.
Something to sip
Helmed by mixologist Andrea Lanza, AMSO boasts a new beverage program that focuses on fresh ingredients, eclectic flavor pairings and creative infusions. Chief among them is La Sandia ($14), a jalapeno, watermelon and cucumber concoction that brings smoky heat, lush sweetness and cooling relief.

Other sips
Most of AMSO’s cocktails are creative spins on tried and tested favorites. The Bourbon Thyme ($14) is made with bourbon, lemon and thyme infused simple syrup. The Mezcal Picoso ($14) is a twist on the classic cucumber martini, made with jalapeno and lime. For larger groups, the Sangria Sparkler is perfect for sharing ($35, served as a pitcher).

Something to savor
There are several options for savors with your sips. Kusshi Oysters ($18 for 6) are served with papaya salsa. The love child of a Cuban sandwich and an eggroll, there are the the Cuban Cigars ($14.50). For something more filling, AmSo offers the Chickpea Flour Crusted Lane Snapper ($18), fried and served with papaya tartar sauce.
