Wawa madness is finally making its way to Miami.
The insanely popular convenience store chain – famous for cheap gas and its subs, which some say are better than Publix subs, though we refuse to believe it – is breaking ground on three sites in Miami-Dade County:

Yes, we heard those Doral rumors, too – but not this time.
Here’s what the inside will look like. Only it will almost certainly be crammed with people, if last year’s openings in Broward were any indication.
Like all other Wawas, the Miami versions use the kitchen as the focal point. Expect built-to-order subs and salads, plus fresh brewed coffee, always a must in Miami.
Wawa plans to finish construction on these stores in May of 2019 and – cross your fingers – hopes to open all three on the same day. But it gets better: construction will start on three more stores sometime early in 2019. It’s a Wawa bonanza, if you will.
The company’s goal: To open three new stores every year for the next few years, with an eye to opening at least 50 new stores in Miami. That would make it one of Wawa’s largest Florida markets.
The stores are already accepting applications for management positions and will begin accepting applications for all jobs in early 2019.
In the meantime, we will try to not fight with Philly.com over this subject until we can get our hands on a real Wawa sub. Then it’s on.
