The United Way of Miami-Dade’s Young Leaders group hosts its second annual Build Your Own Brunch at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami.
The interactive cooking experience is led by three professional Miami chefs — Brad Kilgore (Alter), Roel Alcudia (The Cypress Room) and William Crandall (Tongue & Cheek/Izzy’s) — with tableside assistance from Johnson & Wales culinary students.
The chefs will walk participants through a three-course brunch, washed down with cocktails and wine from Southern Wine & Spirits and Zonin and craft beer from Miami’s Wynwood Brewing Co. Versailles will serve cafecito after the event, and the InterCon’s Toro Toro will host an after-party and viewing party for that afternoon’s UM football game.
Tickets are $100 for Young Leaders, $125 for the general public through Monday, and $150 after Sept. 1. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Miami-Dade’s work to strengthen families through education, financial stability and health.
