Tamarina hires exec chef from 'Best New Restaurant' winner Dolce
Tamarina (600 Brickell Ave.), the coastal Italian restaurant that replaced Lippi in Miami’s Brickell district last fall, has tapped chef Loris Navone to run the kitchen.
Navone started on Monday at Tamarina, jumping from his former kitchen at Dolce Italian in Miami Beach, which last month won a BravoTV reality cooking series called Best New Restaurant.
“It’s time to change. It’s time to go bigger!” Navone posted on an Instagram photo showing Tamarina’s dining room.
Navone replaces chef Israel Mora, who opened Tamarina in November; the restaurant is a partnership between owners Yona and Tunu Puri along with Arjun Waney of Coya and Zuma renown.
