Popular Indian restaurant Bombay Darbar is about to move to a much bigger location in Coconut Grove: the former TK’s at the Villa Mayfair space (2901 Florida Ave.), as first noted by Coconut Grove Grapevine.
The move, set to take place sometime next month, will vastly increase Bombay Darbar’s dining capacity, from 20-some seats at its current location (3195 Commodore Plaza) to a dining room that once packed in 300 a turn when it was the great Brasserie le Coze under chef Eric Ripert.

“Having more room is the whole reason why we’re doing this. We are tired of having to tell people, ‘No, no, sorry, we don’t have room for you right now,'” a Bombay Darbar employee said today, noting that the restaurant’s number will remain 305-444-7272. “When you call, we will tell you if we’ve moved yet.”
