After a long and pricey build-out KLIMA Restaurant and Bar opens tonight (210 23rd St., Miami Beach). Spanish restauranteurs Pablo Fernández-Valdés and Yago Giner, the former CEO and COO respectively of the prestigious Grupo Tragaluz restaurant group out of Barcelona, teamed up to transform the former Tosca space into a high-end loft-like spot for Mediterranean-inspired eats.
The kitchen is headed up by David ‘Rusti’ Rustarazo, the former Chef with Albert Ventura and the acclaimed restaurant “Coure”. Pablo opened Hotel Omm in Barcelona as the Chief Executive with Yago Giner as the Director of Operations, winning a Michelin star after 11 months with the Roca Brothers. The most popular Grupo Tragaluz restaurants the partnership spearheaded are Restaurant Tragaluz (Barcelona) Bar Tomate (Mexico City) and Pez Vela (Barcelona).
