Restaurateur Roman Gurevych has opened his Mediterranean-inspired Ikra Restaurant & Lounge in Sunny Isles Beach. Gurevych is a partner in restaurant group Carte Blanche (Tagline: Cool Restaurants for Cool People) and creator of VaBene Bistro and Caleton Beach Club in Odessa, Ukraine.
Ikra is named for the Russian word for caviar, and its menu seeks to “fuse Mediterranean cuisine with French technique,” according to press materials. The 15,000-square-foot space has multiple dining rooms, including a playroom for children, a karaoke room, an outdoor terrace and a hookah lounge.

Chef Patrick Kirchner is in charge of the kitchen. He previously worked as executive chef at Baoli in Miami Beach. Menu items include sea urchin, oysters, housemade linguine, truffle chicken and a prime veal hamburger with fries.
