Vicky Bakery to debut 'upscale Cuban' menu in Coral Gables
Vicky Bakery, one of South Florida’s classic Cuban-style bakeries, opened its 13th location, at 241 University Dr., Coral Gables.
Guests can stop in daily for sandwiches, pastries and beverages, or step up to the sidewalk window for a quick cafecito to go.
Chef Alex Rodil is working on a dinner menu of higher-end Cuban fare set to debut later this month at the new Vicky, a first for the chain.
One item Rodil plans to debut: Don’t Call Me Frita, an 8-ounce spiced burger with homemade potato strings in a sweet pastry shell.
