Cupcake World is opening soon. And we can’t wait (though our waistlines can)

Coral Gables is getting a little bit sweeter. Cupcake World, the first standalone bakery created by a popular local purveyor of all things sweet, is opening soon.

With more than 14 signature flavors, Cupcake World will feature a cupcake bar where you can build your own baked masterpiece, seven gelato flavors, sweet and savory crepé menu and coffee and espresso drinks.

There’s also – wait for it – a sprinkle wall.

You can check it all out when the shop opens from 2-6 p.m. on Nov. 5. The shop will be giving away free cupcakes and gelato while supplies last. There will also be live music.  

“We can’t think of a better location than Coral Gables to bring our bakery café. We hope to bring sweeter days and fun to the community with our treats,” said founder Iris Casanova, a self-taught cupcake-master whose mottos are “There is no such thing as too much glitter,” “Fondant is a fonDON’T” and “Always eat dessert first.” 

And we think to ourselves: what a wonderful world.
