A sneak peek at the mammoth new Italian food hall at Brickell City Centre
We have detailed photos and an opening date — December — for the three-story Italian food hall coming to Brickell City Centre.
La Centrale (pronounced Chen-TRAH-leh) will have 14 different dining spaces in its mammoth 40,000-square-foot space in the dazzling new mall. The Miami Herald covered its announcement in full in February.
The new food hall will include an all-day cafe with espresso bar, an Italian bakery, a fresh-pulled mozzarella bar, prepared meals, a gelato station, a cocktail and appetizer bar with a live performance stage and a dedicated kitchen event space for cooking classes, book signings, guest chef takeovers and wine tastings.
1. Mercato grab-and-go
The Mercato will include an area called the Caffé, with an espresso bar, plus a juice bar, salad bar, salumeria, a focacceria with fresh bread made daily and specialty Italian retail items in its 5,000 square foot space.
2. Pesce restaurant
Pesce, a restaurant with a style and menu inspired by the Liguria region, will focus on fresh fish with Mediterranean flavors.
3. Stagionale restaurant
Stagionale will focus on seasonal ingredients, particularly the Veneto region of Italy.
4. Enoteca wine bar
Enoteca is a wine cellar that will sit on the third floor of La Centrale, featuring wines to sip and savor or bottles to take home.
5. Carne restaurant
Meats cooked in a wood-fire oven, with decor inspired by the Chianti region, will be the theme of this restaurant.
6. Pizza restaurant
Pizza is the name and the subject of this eatery. It will serve Neapolitan-style pizza cooked in a wood-fire oven like those found in the Naples region. Diners can also watch pasta makers at work through La Centrale’s display window.
