Look closely at the black-and-white custom painted drum kit the artist Questlove uses on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and you’ll see the same patterns a Miami artist has created for a limited set of only-in-Miami beer bottles.
Wynwood Brewing will release 150 bottles of its Belgian strong ale Saturday, with each bottle hand-painted by the artist Lola Blu. It is the first time Wynwood Brewing has bottled its Father Francisco beer, which is aged in bourbon barrels for a spicy, fruity aroma.

It’s the combination of art and the art of brewing.
Lola Blu is a self-taught Miami artist who has created unique designs for several musicians, including sets for Usher’s URX Tour, Bruno Mars 24k Tour and Anderson .Paak’s drum set for the Grammy’s. Her designs are often black-and-white geometric and organic shapes, that she encourages others to fill in with colors.
At last year’s Art Basel, Lola Blu painted the first dozen of Wynwood’s 150 Father Francisco bottles live, in her studio, Lulu Laboratorium. She also contributed to “The Wynwood Coloring Book,” which was created by several Miami-based artists.
The 22-ounce bottles of Father Francisco, a strong beer at 9 percent alcohol by volume, will sell for $35 each at the brewery, beginning at noon.
