Notable Miami restaurant openings this weekend:
Il Mulino New York unveils its South Beach outpost on Friday at 840 First St., in the former Clarke’s pub. Executive chef Michele Mazza will oversee a menu consisting of classics like porcini ravioli with champagne truffle sauce and wine-roasted veal shank for the 84-seat restaurant.
Bistro BE opens Friday in Miami’s Axis Brickell building at 1111 SW First Ave. (formerly Box Park). Belgian-born chef Frederik Appelt will cook beer-friendly cuisine like seared scallops with chicory confit and a Stella Artois mousseline.
And coming soon: Mignonette, the new oyster bar from chef Danny Serfer (Blue Collar) and Ryan Roman, expects to open Aug. 1 at 210 NE 18th St. in Miami. Just in time for Miami Spice.
