Eating House branches out with Taperia Raca in Miami's MiMo neighborhood
The who: Eating House chef-owner Giorgio Rapicavoli and business partner Alex Casanova are behind the new Taperia Raca with chef Ryan Harrison (formerly of Preservation) at the stove.
The space: Nestled next to a car wash and across from Michy’s, Taperia Raca offers a handful of tables inside its small space, but most of the seating (about 40 spots) is on a breezy patio overlooking Biscayne Boulevard.
The dishes: Spanish tapas, through and through. The menu includes about a dozen each of cold (pan con tomate, octopus salad) and hot plates (patatas bravas, braised pork cheeks), from $5 to $15. Figure about three dishes per person for a dinner portion.
Drinks range from craft beers and Spanish wines to combinations like Coke with red wine and Sprite with draft beer.
The bottom line: Miami’s tapas takeover continues with a popular chef’s new on upcoming stretch of Biscayne Boulevard.
