Dena Marino's MC Kitchen opens today

At last, Dena Marino’s highly anticipated MC Kitchen opens today. Marino and partner Brandy Coletta are also working on the 2013 opening of Mercato, an Italian grocery.  Highlights of the restaurant’s modern Italian menu include stone-oven made Heritage Breed Poulet Rouge with asparagus, wild mushroom and an over easy farm egg; Piadena, an organic wheat-baked flatbread topped with various salads; house made ingredients including air-cured meats such as duck proscuitto and bresaola; house-preserved Meyer lemons and olives; nine hand-rolled pastas; fresh pulled, house made mozzarella and Marino’s own label of USDA Organic, Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is the first restaurant that Marino, who spent three years working under Michael Chiarello, will open and operate outside of Colorado, where she rose to acclaim with D19, Ellina and Ajax Tavern.
