Gianni’s, a new Italian-Mediterranean restaurant, is set to open Oct. 2 at The Villa Casa Casuarina in South Beach, formerly the Versace Mansion.
The menu will be executed by chef Thomas Stewart, who previously helmed Il Sole, the on-site restaurant at the 10-suite boutique at 1116 Ocean Dr. owned by Victor Hotels. Stewart collaborated on Gianni’s menu with chef Mathias Gervais of The Setai. It includes beef filet with rossini sauce, and a whole branzino for two.

The restaurant features three dining areas, including a patio that overlooks a garden and a pool constructed with a million mosaic tiles, many of which are 24-karat gold. Versace’s former kitchen has been remade into a cocktail area, Onyx Bar.
Starting Oct. 2, Gianni’s will be open for dinner from 7 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Lunch and private events are available by appointment. For reservations: 786-485-2200.
