Coral Gables is getting a new gastropub and a ramen-and-more shop within blocks of each other. Here’s a look at Trust & Co. and Ichimi, opening this week:
Trust & Co.
“Upscale-casual bar and restaurant inspired by the trust and integrity of the early 20th century,” says Trust & Co. owner-operator Jerry Flynn. Chef Pablo Zitzmann has crafted a seasonally changing gastropub menu that includes a raw bar, charcuterie plates, burgers, pastas, salads and more. Opening Thursday for dinner and weekday 4-7 p.m. happy hour. Lunch to begin Feb. 4 with brunch following on Feb. 13.

Executive chef Constantine De Lucia, formerly of Momi Rami and Lure Fishbar, will showcase ramen three ways (traditional, tsukemen dipping style, cold) with housemade noodles at the new Ichimi, opening Friday in the short-lived former Little Bread space. Small-dish izakaya options like scallion pancake, fried rabbit and crispy pig ear, as well as beef, seafood, pork and vegetable gyoza can be paired with sake, craft beer or wine. Regular hours will be weekday lunch and daily dinner. A second Ichimi location is in the works for Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood.
