Chef Bradley Kilgore, whose Wynwood restaurant Alter earned a four-star Miami Herald review, has been named Best New Chef by Food & Wine magazine.
Kilgore had previously made a name for himself as J&G Grill and Azul at the Mandarin Oriental before opening his own restaurant in 2015.

Food & Wine’s editors chose Kilgore the best after a months-long selection process that included input from food writers, local dining experts and restaurant critics around the country. The editors then dine anonymously.
They say Kilgore is “serving some of the country’s most brilliant and playful dishes.”
