‘Salud!’ Jimmy Butler stops by Miami’s Calle Ocho to flex his cocktail making skills
Jimmy Butler helps keep the Miami Heat running, but what’s his poison?
Caffeine, partially.
During COVID, the star forward founded his own coffee company called Big Face, with beans sourced from Ethiopia, Kenya and Colombia.
Butler’s java is available online (alongside cool merch, gear and apparel).
And for a limited time at a handful of local bars, you can also taste the potent stuff embedded in a cocktail.
The baller has team up with Bacardi for an ultimate espresso martini called the Cafe Con Ocho, made with Reserva Ocho rum.
The cocktail “elevates the party experience with bold notes of nutmeg and vanilla, perfectly paired with coffee,” says a release.
It’s currently available at such hot spots as COTE Miami, 1 Hotel South Beach, and local favorite Cafe La Trova in Little Havana. Just tell the bartender that Jimmy sent you.
Homebodies can also whip it up in their living rooms, as Butler, playing mixologist, demonstrates in an Instagram video.
“Perfect for afternoons in the 305,” the power forward writes in the caption alongside an amusing clip.
“That’ll get you moving,” he says, then takes his drink out to play a game in famed Domino Park. “Salud!”
