As South Florida gradually comes out of quarantine, Joia Beach is emerging as a good place to tiptoe back out there.

The tropical themed Mediterranean restaurant on Watson Island is about as pandemic friendly as it gets, right on the beach. Yes, we can’t believe we wrote “pandemic friendly,” either.

Thanks, 2020.

Music, tiki huts, gorgeous views, spicy cocktails, rustic-chic decor, yummy seafood, fresh air. Joia Beach checks all the boxes we need right now. Did we mention fresh air?

Since the opening was set in Before Times, a lot has changed. On its website, Joia Beach says it remains committed to the health and safety of its guests in the COVID era.

“Staff will encourage safe physical distancing practices in all public areas including on the beach,” the website says. “Please do not make changes to furniture arrangements.”

Also: additional hand sinks have been added and personal protective equipment will be available. You will need a mask to enter the property.

The Tulum-Mykonos-Ibiza inspired spot recently had a famous visitor: Maluma. On Wednesday, the reggaeton star shot a video highlighting some songs from his latest album, “Papi Juancho” for his collab with Michelob Ultra, as part of its Pure Golden Hour Sessions.

Even though we missed Maluma, we want to go there, like now. So, actually, bye.
