Watch this Miami bartender whip up a churro margarita for Jimmy Kimmel in quarantine

Bars are shut down, at least in the short term during the coronavirus pandemic.

But that doesn’t mean bartenders aren’t still making dranks in their bunkers.

Diageo North America, parent company to Tequila Don Julio and other spirits brands, just launched #TipsFromHome, a social pledge movement to rally financial support for the struggling bar and restaurant community.

One Miami bartender got in on the action, showing the country how to mix up a Cinco de Mayo cocktail.

Julio Cabrera, a partner at Little Havana’s Cafe La Trova, starred on “Jimmy Kimmel Live From His House!” Tuesday night.

The celebrated cantinero showed viewers how to make the Churro Margarita in a partnership with Don Julio tequila in a #Cocktails de la Casa segment.

The star mixologist’s creation certainly looks appetizing if you want to try it yourself. The only challenging part is probably infusing the tequila in a Mason jar with churros (or cinnamon toast) for two hours.

In a shaker combine:

1.5 oz. churro-infused Tequila Don Julio Blanco

0.75 oz fresh lime juice

0.75 simple syrup (preferably with a little cayenne pepper)

Shake with ice and serve strained into a rocks glass on the rocks. Garnish with grated dark chocolate or chocolate bitters.
