There’s a new secret Alice in Wonderland themed rooftop bar in Fort Lauderdale

With all the scary news coming down the pike, South Florida needs a little escape.

The folks at The Balcony understand the feeling.

The bar-restaurant in Fort Lauderdale is reinventing itself, and will be opening a whimsical rooftop bar called The Hidden Garden, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.”

Each seating area is designed to represent classic scenes from the childhood tale, e.g., The Rose Garden, The Caterpillar’s Lair and The Red Queen’s Chess Board.

We are very down with the concept that comes to us from PDKN, of Bokamper’s fame.

“Lush foliage and tropical greenery welcome each guest as they enter, while surprise theme activations hidden throughout the rooftop are sure to delight our more curious and adventurous visitors,” says an invite to the Saturday night grand opening.

Expect craft cocktails, tapas, live DJs and possibly a quick pop-in by Peter Rabbit and the Mad Hatter. Did we mention cocktails??

Going down that rabbit hole doesn’t seem so bad right now.
