Take a secret elevator to this new rooftop bar for great views of Miami Beach

There’s a new rooftop spot to watch the sunset and welcome the night with a drink.

Perched on top of Miami Beach’s Lincoln Eatery, The Nest is a 3,320-square-foot space with 150 seats and great views.

To get there, take the secret elevator (it’s just past Cocktails bar inside the Eatery). Here’s what you’ll find: Cocktails. Signature drinks include Bird in the Hand ($11) with reposado tequila, Chinola passion fruit liqueur, Q Grapefruit soda and fresh lime and the Nest Gin and Tonic ($11) with Bombay Sapphire gin, East Imperial Yuzu tonic and smoked cinnamon bitters.

The Nest is only open on Friday and Saturday, but there’s still a happy hour of sorts: Lucky Hour, from 5-7 p.m., when some cocktails will be discounted.

Right now you can only order drinks, but soon you’ll be able to order food from the vendors in Lincoln Eatery on your phone. Also coming: a monthly Rooftop Dining Series, which will highlight local chefs and culinary concepts, plus roaming, thematic cocktail carts and an oyster shucking station from Necessary Purveyor.

Former nightclub owner and hospitality veteran Alan Roth is one of the partners in the endeavor.

“The Nest was created for Miami, offering a place that makes locals feel like they are cocktailing in their own backyard,” he said in a press release. “The Nest will offer an element of surprise, including entertainment, music, or even a server on roller skates handing out shots. You’ll never know what spontaneous activities are happening at The Nest until you see it for yourself.”
