Fancy drinks are back in South Beach: This craft cocktail spot is reopening
It’s back, so get ready to get all fancy again.
The Regent Cocktail Club will relaunch at the Gale South Beach, moving into the larger, former Rec Room space Dec. 28.
The chi-chi spot first opened in 2012, quickly becoming a destination for old school cocktail enthusiasts, with a mix of SoBe sizzle, spot-on service and impeccable pours.
A notice on the lounge’s Instagram page Thursday announced the good news: “Your favorite underground hang: reinvented.”
The Regent redux features a “revitalized” drinks menu in collaboration with local adult beverage connoisseurs Bar Lab. Look out for unusual concoctions with a tropical twist such as the Guava Paloma, made up of Patron Reposado, pink guava, habañero shrub, lime, juice and grapefruit soda. Or the oh-so-Miami Platano Fashioned: Santa Teresa 1796, maduro reduction and tiki bitters.
Some drinks will be supersized, which means they’re meant to be shared among three to four guests, so plan on an Uber.
Or order from the small plates menu to soak up the alcohol: Highlights of the menu are the cheese croquetas with fig jam, chicken empanadas with chipotle sauce and an antipasti-style meat and cheese plate.
Operated by LDV Hospitality, which also owns and operates Scarpetta and Dolce Italian at The Gale, The Regent Cocktail Club will also offer live music with an in-house DJ spinning tunes on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. until close.
