The most wonderful time of the year is almost upon us: Miami Art Week. To help you get ready, we’ve rounded up our picks of the best 2019 Art Basel parties in Miami. Start clearing your calendar, because you’re going to be really busy baselando.

Universal Playground at Nautilus by Arlo

The event: Chic Collins Avenue hideaway, Nautilus by Arlo, will kick off Miami Art Week with the launch of Universal Playground, a collection of parties from across the country combined with risque performances on the newly redesigned hotel grounds and beach. Expect a great selection of public artwork, including an original neon installation piece by Natasha Tomchin and Olivia Steele, a collaboration between Blind Barber and Brooklyn outdoor summer party TIKI DISCO, and a pop-up of famed nightclubs Up&Down and THE BOX. HoTL Records Label Showcase at El Patio Wynwood

The event: David Tort, Markem and Saeed Younan will take over El Patio on Dec. 4 for a special HoTL Records label showcase. The lineup includes names like Malone, Gustavo Ibarra, Eran Hersh, DJ Wady and Armand Pena.

Culture + Beat Camp presents Beats, Bass & Art at Gramps

The event: DJs Goldie, Yheti, Otto Von Schirach, B Boy Roy, Galactic Effect, Funk de la Cueva, Brightwing and more will perform.

Black Coffee & Deadmau5 at Story

The event: If you’re craving underground beats, add Black Coffee’s performance at Story to your calendar. And if you’re a mau5head, don’t miss Deadmau5 performance the following day.

Diplo, G-Eazy, Rick Ross & Carnage at E11EVEN

The event: E11EVEN Miami has revealed another star-studded lineup for this year’s Art Week. The party will kick off Dec. 5 with a performance by Diplo, followed by G-Eazy on Dec. 7. Rick Ross and Carnage will close out the week with performances on Dec 8.

The details: Dec. 5-8, doors open at 10 p.m. at 29, NE 11th St., Miami; tickets typically range from $20-$50 and can be purchased here.

Dimensions

The event: Over 50 artists, musicians and creatives from around the world will take over an abandoned department store in Downtown Miami, filling over 50,000 square feet of forgotten space across three floors with more than 30 interactive experiences and art and sound installations, two stages with DJs, and all kinds of live performances. The food hall will be transformed into “A Forest Dark” - a nightclub inspired by elements of the past and future.

Heart Festival Basel 2019 at Factory 44

The event: Dance the night away to sets by icons like The Martinez Brothers, Sasha & John Digweed, Damian Lazarus, Bedouin, Erick Morillo, Andrea Oliva both indoors and under the stars.

The details: Dec. 6-7 at Factory 55, 55 Northeast 24th St., Miami; tickets start at $90 for a two-day pass with entry before 4 p.m. and can be purchased here. This event is 21+ for guys and 18+ for ladies.

Jack Daniels Whiskey presents Art, Beats & Lyrics at SoHo Studios

The event: Sip your fill of Jack Daniels at this traveling urban art and music exhibition. The event will feature art installations and live musical performances.

The details: Dec. 6 from 7 p.m. until midnight at SoHo Studios, 2136 Northwest 1st Ave., Miami; admission is free with RSVP.

Lil Wayne & Alesso at LIV

The event: Head to LIV for your hip hop fix when Lil Wayne takes over the iconic Miami Beach nightclub. Then come back for dance music beats by Alesso on Saturday.

Gumbo Limbo Experiment presented by Peroni

The event: Internationally-renowned DJ Richie Hell and multimedia artist Francisca Oyhanarte will partner up at this multi-sensorial show presented by Peroni. The party will include live music, art installations, and mind-blowing projected visuals.

The details: Dec. 6 from 9 p.m. until midnight at W South Beach, 2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; This event is free and open to the public.

The Essential Party at No. 3 Social

The event: Jam out to sets by Miguel Migs, Fred Everything, Jay-J, Mark Brickman and DANK at No. 3 Social’s legendary Essential Party.

The details: Dec. 7 from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. at No. 3 Social, 50 Northwest 24th St., Miami; tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

Rakastella

The event: If dancing to 12+ hours of continuous music sets by names like Âme, Jayda G, Palms Trax, Soul Clap, Ben UFO, Öona Dahl, KiNK and more on the beach beneath the stars sounds like your cup of Art Basel tea, then this party definitely needs to be on your radar. There will be plenty of immersive experiences, too, including the “Hi-Fi Tea Garden,” where you’ll be able to enjoy organic teas to the sounds of vinyl sets from surprise DJs on a Danely sound system. Go VIP and enjoy a separate village with lounges, complimentary massages, a private mixology bar, small bites by Chef Andres “Billy” Garcia, and more.

1AMFest

Two stages, 20+ performances, exclusive pop-ups, live radio broadcast, panels and games, shopping and more come together at this day-long festival. Mainstage performances by Dani Leigh, IDK, Cousin Stizz, Rubi Rose, Omeretta The Great.

The details: 1 p.m.-3 a.m. Dec. 7 at Toe Jam Backlot, 150 NW 21 St., Miami; Tickets $56-$112.

Rum & Bass at 1-800-LUCKY

The event: Save the date for the 4th annual Rum & Bass Art Basel block party, hosted at 1-800-LUCKY in collaboration with Daily Paper, all the way from Amsterdam. Local and international DJs will provide the soundtrack, and Bacardi will provide the drinks.
