Pinkroom Grand Opening
As if I needed another excuse to go out and party, this week there’s a new lounge opening it’s doors on South Beach. It’s been eight months in the making, but after countless hours of hard work, planning, and attentiveness to design, the time has come for the debut of Pinkroom.
Located on Washington Avenue in the space previously known as White Diamond, Pinkroom has undergone a massive remodel that features a LED-covered DJ Booth backed by a huge LED screen that spans the entire wall, and very girly décor throughout. Think Pink, from the bar tops, the walls, the lighting; the color pink is splattered through the entire space. Pinkroom’s focus was to become an eco-friendly and socially conscience establishment; the self-professed “first establishment of its kind in Miami Beach to actively embrace environmentally conscious practices in our operations”, while still maintaining the undeniable Miami sexiness.
In addition to being a “green” establishment, Pinkroom has become the first lounge to partner up with The Susan Komen For the Cure South Florida Chapter. They will host a bevy of fund raising events throughout the year, as well as feature a rotating “Pink Drink With a Cause” that will give half the proceeds from the price of the drink to breast cancer research and awareness. You can feel good about spending your money on a drink; just remind yoursef it’s all for a good cause.
Some of the “Pink” inspired cocktails include, the Pink Cosmopolitan made from Absolut Citron, cranberry juice, triple sec and fresh lime juice; and a Passion Fruit Lemonade, a mix of Skyy Pineapple, X Rated fusion liquor and simple syrup. Both sound absolutely delicious to me; can’t wait to try one for myself.
Friday, May 7th head to the beach, be a part of the Grand Opening event as a new era begins on South Beach. I’ll be there checking it out, scoping the scene, and getting a first hand look at this amazing overhaul with my “Pink” drink in hand. Join me and let’s welcome Pinkroom to Miami!
