Mansion celebrates 6 years

It’s crazy to think that Mansion nightclub on South Beach has been around for 6 years; it seems like an eternity. I can’t recount the numberof times I stepped inside the amazing theater-like venue and partied like there’s no tomorrow. So many fantastic DJ’s and artists have rocked the stage. Whether it was hip-hop, house, or electro, the Opium Group has managed to bring international superstars from all over the world to Miami for our listening pleasure.

David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Britney Spears, Erick Morillo and many more have all been special guests at Mansion. I still remember the first time I heard Bob Sinclar LIVE at Mansion – the crowd was insane, the music was out of control, and the vibe was magical. It gave me chills, especially since I got to experience the entire show while standing right next to the DJ booth. As I stood there and looked at the crowd all I saw was everyone on their feet dancing with their arms in the air pounding away to every beat.

For its 6-year anniversary Mansion is bringing some of the biggest acts in the industry. It’s going to be a weeklong celebration and everyone’s invited.

Wed., April 14: International Wednesdays. It’s all open format; the crowd is beautiful, young, and hip. Residents Damaged Goods and Konflikt work the crowd and drop the funky beats to make everyone bounce. This is one of my favorite parties, eventhough it’s during the week. This week Richie Rich of the design duo Heatherette will take over  for the official launch of his clothing line, Tabloid Hero. Tabloid Hero is a sportswear collection that will feature a “Tabloid Hero” on each shirt and Richie Rich has stated that he’ll have all his celeb friends wearing one in the near future.

Thurs., April 15: In the Studio with the 400 Life. This isn’t a party for just anyone; it’s for the grown and sexy. The exclusive 400 Life takes over and brings the most sophisticated and upscale hip-hop event to Mansion every week with some of the biggest R&B and Hip-Hop artists in attendance. From LIVE performances by Monica, Omarion, Brandy, Big Boi and many more to professional athletes hosting the night, the 400 Club always brings top acts. This week the 400 Club will feature Universal recording artist Busta Rhymes.

Fri., April 16:  We Rock Hip Hop. This party will have a special performance by Fabulous and Trey Songz. It’s the Official After Party for the Be Seen Being Green College Music Tour going down at the James L. Knight Center. They’ll have you “Say Ah” as they support the national campaign to be “Green” and environmentally friendly. We Rock Hip Hop is one of the best Friday night parties on SoBe. The crowd is always alive and with a youthful vibe for the start of the weekend!

Sat., April 17: Steve Aoki. The anniversary celebration continues with special guest DJ Steve Aoki. Steve Aoki is one of my favorite DJ’s, his style is funky fresh, upbeat, and heart pounding. Let your inner fashionistas come out; the dress code on Saturdays is sexy chic.

Sun., April 18: Striptease Sundays. This special edition features a LIVE performance by Hip Hop recording artist Fat Joe alongside resident DJ Affect. It’s going to be a perfect ending to an amazing week of events to celebrate the anniversary of one of the iconic clubs on South Beach. Mansion is prepped and ready, are you? All the night owls better be ready with a healthy supply of Red Bull.

As the saying goes, “While others play house, they play MANSION”.  Happy Anniversary. I wish you many, many more!
