This weekend the space that once housed the beloved Vagabond (tip your forty) and the short-lived nightclub Steam will once again be reborn as an off-the-radar-ish club that will cater to swanky people who don’t like to scream to be heard. The new venue, the first U.S. outpost of the popular Colombian nightlife franchise Armando Records (whose properties include two nightclubs, five bars and two restaurants throughout Colombia), has undergone a major remodel, with two bars, a patio and a dancefloor.

The most important part, though, is the throwdown they are hosting this weekend, which includes a performance by Bomba Estéreo. If you don’t know who they are, you will soon enough. They are the electropop rap outfit from Colombia that performed with Will Smith at the Latin Grammys in 2015, with the visibly pregnant singer Li Saumet crushing it dressed like a South American goddess.

Still don’t remember? They are the geniuses behind the most adorably viral video of the summer, “Soy Yo,” featuring a young actress named Sarai Gonzalez rocking mismatched braids and showing the world what confidence is all about.

Armando Records will bring programming of DJs and bands from around the world, hoping to introduce Miami to what Conde Nast Traveler ranked as one of the Top 30 Clubs in 2013.
