The folks at The Forge Restaurant and Wine Bar in Miami Beach are fusing music and food through a new series dubbed Project F. Owner Shareef Malnik says up to five live impromptu performances will take over the main dining room after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
“Imagine you’re dining and one of your favorite songs comes on. You think what you’re hearing is the perfect musical set by one of our resident DJs, only to look up and see a vocalist singing from a seat at the table next to you,” Malnik said. “Then the light goes off, the performer blends into the crowd and the DJ picks up the next track.”
