The story: Adventure calls this week from all the way out west where Finka Table & Tap is serving Pumpkin Rum Old Fashioned cocktails for Halloween. The Cuban gastropub with Peruvian and Korean influences is one of those rare off-the-beaten-path places, at about 20 miles from downtown, that typically has a line out the door. As you pick your poison, consider bartender Eddie Fuentes’ concoction featuring Caliche rum stirred with house-made pumpkin pie syrup, complete with the flavors of roasted pumpkin seeds and toasted marshmallows, along with a dash of Angostura and Angostura orange bitters with an orange twist.
