One Night Stand: Saturdays at Kitchen 305
If you live in North Miami and don’t have the bucks to spend on high-priced bottle serivice in South Beach there’s an alternative – the vibrant scene at Kitchen 305.
The spot formerly known as Michael’s Kitchen recently got a face-lift as an over-the-top restaurant with a lengthy list packed with comfort food. Yet Kitchen 305 has been gaining more popularity as a cocktail and dinner party lounge for those seeking a festive atmosphere amidst the beachside and building-happy landscape of Sunny Isles Beach.
It’s fitting that Saturday nights at the hot spot tend to be packed, since most of its customers – from adjacent North Miami and Aventura – are the upbeat people not looking to drive to South Beach. Walk into the resto-lounge inside the Newport Beachside Resort and you’ll be greeted by a ruby-hued lit bar, girlfriends dancing to the beats of 90’s pop tunes mixed in with top 40 hits. The plush seating and barstools allow for a chance to sip on one of the lounge’s signature martinis. And groups of hungry diners dig into kobe beef sliders, cotton candy for dessert or take advantage of a pre-fixed party menu priced at $25.
Live music more your style? Kitchen 305 now has a stage which has featured such acts as indie Jacob Jeffries and Spam All Stars on recent Saturday nights. Those interested can check the resto’s website for information on live shows as well as DJ performances. Still yearning for that bottle? Grey Goose bottles are only $75 on Saturday nights. Bottle service and money left over for their $6 valet parking? Take that, SOBE.
