This Wednesday, November 18, Brickell hotspot Coya will launch the first installment in its new liquid series collective “A Liquid Journey through Latin America.” The event will feature Coya’s Beverage Director, Maria Pottage, and four local bartenders, each tasked with creating a signature cocktail representative of a specific region in Latin America.
This week’s participants include Albert Fuentes from Catina La Veinte, who will be charged with exploring Mexico through Mescal; Melissa Welcher from Michael’s Genuine, who will take guests through Panama with her usage of rum; Damon Roseberry from The Broken Shaker, who will lead the way through Venezuela also using rum; Milan Mijatovic from Craft Social Club, who will incorporate Cachaça on his journey through Brazil; and Coya’s Beverage Director Maria Pottage, paving the way through Peru with Pisco. Guests will also be able to sample complimentary canapes and clap their hands to the sound of live Latin Music by Flamenco Duo.
